Supper No. 24 

The Show Pony Supper celebrated the gorgeous, talented and intelligent Lipizzan Horses of Tempel Farms. 

Chef Rick Starr of Ad-Lib Geo Cafe will be preparing a delicious 3 course meal. He sources all produce from local farms, including Tempel Farms, home of the Lipizzans. We are also thrilled to be working with local Chicago artist and designer Charlotte Croy Hudson to bring the "show" to life.

Supper No. 23

The Summer Assembly Supper was a tribute to the process of making in a clean, serene visual aesthetic. and took place at local luxury furniture maker Troscan Design’s workshop and showroom, Room 406. Dreamy tabletop runners, handmade plates and a Baja Mediterranean menu set the tone for a design drenched summer fete.

Supper No. 22

The Bittersweet Supper was our celebration of the arrival of full swing spring, with an evening devoted to all things bittersweet. We were thrilled to team up with Pioneer Works, a non-profit art foundation located in Red Hook Brooklyn. The expansive building was originally built in 1866, and now plays host to artist residencies, concerts, classes, and functions as center for science, art and culture.

Supper No. 21

The Grit and Grain Supper was a cozy March affair, and also marked our two year NYC anniversary. We teamed up with winemaker Woody Hambrecht of Alysian Wines to celebrate the beauty of texture and wood craftsmanship in the unique open timbered space of Kinfolk 94.

Supper No. 19

The Neighbors Supper was a tribute to our favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. It's no wonder as love to gather around a table with good food, wine, and conversation. This special event was an intimate gathering that celebrates the concept of borrowing from your neighbor in a Friendsgiving style setting. Shared recipes, local produce, and cross cultural references were the focus for this inspired meal prepared by chef Arden Lewis.

Supper No. 18

The Prairie Supper was a tribute of the pastoral serenity of the midwest. The supper took place on the rooftop of Studio Gang, the celebrated architecture firm in Wicker Park, Chicago. There was a real rooftop prairie!

Supper No. 17

The Salt of the Earth supper was an early fall fete that focused on the role of salt in food and everyday life. 

Sommelier Lee Campbell returned with a lovely selection of wines grown in briny soil that was paired with a custom menu by Maison May Vanderbilt. Guests gathered in Catherine May's welcoming space in Fort Greene that celebrates the art of handmade items for home, and dined on thoughtfully prepared vibrant cuisine.

Supper No. 16

At the Rediscovery Supper, what was old is new again. Justin Tootla and Jenn Jackson of Pickle and Chub, revisited their signature Chinese cuisine. (You may know them from Thank You Chinese in Logan Square) 

Ashley Lin made beautiful, handmade ceramics for each and every place setting. Jennifer Zamudio of Dot & Army joined us once again with her luxe handmade linens. Emily Campanale brought the theme to light with installations that use old materials in new ways. The summer event took place at Kelly Allison's Photo Studio in the West Loop.

Supper No.15

For The Slow Burn Supper , we teamed up with Supersmith, a communal workshop space in Red Hook Brooklyn to celebrate the art of slow living, focused around the concept of taking time to craft by hand. Chef Doug Hwang from Tygershark prepared a special menu using a smoker made especially for the event.

The 3 course menu was a nod to summer BBQ and cocktails by Two Parts Spirit utilized fresh fruit and slow cooked reductions.

Supper No.14

The Bear Champ Supper was an exciting collaboration with JC Rivera, the Chicago artist best known for his beloved character "Bear Champ".  We created a fictitious world inside Soho House Chicago, where Bear Champ camps out in the woods, eating his honey. This dinner was made extra special with limited edition bowls made by Ashley Lin, all with JC's Bear Champ painted on the surface. A three course meal was lovingly made with honey from Bike A Bee.

Starry Night was a cozy gathering that celebrated the night sky. Each course drew inspiration from an astrological sign or constellation, all beautifully prepared by Chef Nahvae Frost.

Supper No. 12

Friends and Lovers was both a Valentine's Day celebration and it marked Filigree Suppers' one year anniversary. Guests trekked through the snow to Bangtel's Mr. Clark's Penthouse, a modern space with a neutral color palette and bold details. Jonathan Zaragoza and Charles Welch cooked an excellent meal, with each dish inspired by a different silver screen romance. Dishes included Pasta a la chitarra (Lady and the Tramp) and Short Rib Rueben with Spaezle (When Harry Met Sally). The delicious spread was served on an incredible selection of vintage china from Vintage Place Settings.

Supper No. 11

October's Letter and Lace Supper was a gathering that focused on our love of fall and calligraphy all inspired by a calligraphy class with Jenna Blazevich of Vichcraft. The event took place in Chicago's Tack Room, a restored equestrian tack room from the turn of the century. Upon arrival, guests gathered around the grand piano where Jenna did some "live calligraphy" in the form of love letters and holiday cards. Foxglove Studio amped up the fall decor with coral renunculas and dinner plate dahlia's, while Dot & Army hand-dyed beautiful, merlot linen napkins. Guests then dined at a single table along a thirty foot runner hand lettered by Vichcraft.

Supper No. 10

The FEED Supper was so exciting because we were able to partner with the FEED Organization to help raise 8,000 meals for families in the US and around the world. We can't think of a more meaningful reason to gather around the dinner table! Vinegar Hill House was so gracious and prepared a "nose-to-tail" feast, where we dined on every part of the pig, with nothing going to waste. The Icons Supper was a celebration of amazing, creative women throughout history. Graciously hosted by Beatrix Ost at her home at the Hotel des Artistes, the supper was comprised of four courses, each honoring a different Icon.

The Fruit Supper took place on a hot day in July at the Rhine Hall Distillery in Chicago. Guests gathered for a cocktail hour tour, and learned the finer points of the brandy making process. Then, guests sat down to a delicious menu and brandy cocktail pairing. It was a perfect Chicago summer evening!

The Picnic Supper was the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy the onset of warmer weather. We gathered at the Onderdonk House, which is a historic house with a sprawling lawn and garden right in the heart of industrial Ridgewood. We loved the fact that many New Yorkers may not know about this hidden gem, and what better way to celebrate it than with an intimate dinner al fresco?

Sunfolk Seventies was our first adventure out west. Kristen of Moon Canyon hosted 34 guests in her new Echo Park studio. The evening payed homage to the sunset hues of 1970's LA, while Paper Palate served up inspiring California-fresh cuisine.  Also: See this event featured on Dine X Design here!

Supper No. 4

Victoria and America was a celebration of 19th century design concepts, paired with a menu inspired by the time. We partnered with The Winchester in Chicago for an incredible evening of champagne, duck, and design. Instead of a simple menu, guests received a comprehensive booklet that informed them of dining traditions from that period so they could follow along with the meaning behind each dish. It was one part dinner, one part history lesson, and a lovely evening of new friendships and conversation.

Supper No. 3

Pattern was an exploration in true "maximalism". We sat on floor pillows, dined under a giant pink parachute, and had an amazing moroccan inspired meal by candlelight at the Sky Gallery in Brooklyn. Every element echoed the theme of pattern play and the clean white venue was the perfect canvas for the dizzying array of vintage plates, rugs and linens.

Flora and Fauna was held at Isa Restaurant in Brooklyn. The concept focused on the slowly blossoming approach of spring. Acclaimed chef Ginger Pierce designed a menu of fresh local ingredients to celebrate the thawing winter.

Supper No.1

Dinner at Dusk was the pilot dinner for Filigree Suppers. It was months in the making, and worth every minute. Despite the fact that our dinner took place during Chicago's fifth largest blizzard, everyone made it out to the gorgeous new event space.
